Barcelona: A new direct flight to Beijing and more frequently to Shanghai

It will generate greater connectivity between Barcelona and other Asian destinations

Air China will connect better BCN with multiple Asian destinations Barcelona, ​​March 25, 2018. Air China fly at the  morning at 11:25 from Barcelona  El Prat airport a new direct flight to Beijing that will replace the current, with a stopover in Vienna, and that will generate greater connectivity between Barcelona and other Asian destinations. In addition, the company will increase flights from 3 to 4 weekly flights to Shanghai, from where it already offers a good link to destinations domestic and international, such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Australia.

The new direct flight to Beijing reduces the duration of a flight to 10 hours and 50 minutes’ route that is currently 12 hours and 50 minutes. It has the expected arrival to the Chinese capital at  4:15, in a schedule that will allow the user to connect in comfort with other domestic and international flights, such as Hong Kong at 8:00am,  Tokyo at 8:20 a.m., Korea at 8:30 a.m. or Taiwan at 8:35 a.m. Throughout the day, other Southeast Asian connections such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and also Australia. The flight will maintain its current frequency of 4 weekly trips.

Both flights will continue to operate with Airbus 330-200 models. The Barcelona- Shanghai route it has 16 Business Class seats and 239 Economy Class, while the configuration of flight Barcelona – Beijing will have 28 seats Business Class and others 199 Economy Class: more seats in Business class to cover the demand until Beijing as final destination and also to the rest of international connections.
