The volume of passengers between BCN and USA has been doubled in the period 2014-2018

The first origin/destination from Barcelona is New York, with a growth over the previous period of 15%. Up to 78% of the passengers fly in direct flights given the large amount of airlines between the two cities. Highlight the growth of 40% compared to the previous period of Los Angeles and San Francisco where 57% and 49% respectively were passengers on direct flights. Thanks to the offer of Level and Norwegian the connection between Barcelona and California. The percentage of passengers traveling in business class is between 8-15% depending on the origin/destination.

The volume of passengers between BCN and USA has been doubled in the period 2014-2018, from 1 Mpax to 2 Mpax. With a CAGR of 19% in this period.

The first company in number of passengers carried in the period April 2018-March 2019 is Norwegian, which has almost doubled its volume compared to the previous year. Then follow the three American companies American, Delta and United. Highlight the growth of United of 35% compared to the previous period in number of passengers. In the evolution by companies 2014-2018, it can be observed the irruption of Norwegian and Iberia / Level in the last 3 years, in 2018 both were 31% of the total. In the same period American and Delta remain stable while United experiences a slight growth.
