LATAM Airlines and Vueling sign an agreement to boost long-haul flights from El Prat
LATAM Airlines and Vueling have signed an agreement that will boost long-haul flights from El Prat and strengthen the airport’s position as a point of entry for passengers traveling to and from Lima (Peru), and flying to Europe and vice versa.
Owing to this agreement, LATAM passengers can benefit from the 130 direct destinations that Vueling offers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; enabling Vueling to operate as a company that feeds the company’s flights through its Barcelona hub.
“This new alliance with Vueling will allow us to offer more and better connection options between Europe and Latin America, reinforcing the importance of Barcelona in our flight network,” said Rodrigo Contreras, CEO of LATAM Airlines for Europe.
LATAM Airlines currently has three weekly flights between the Catalan capital and the city of Lima that are operated by Boeing 767-300 aircraft. This new route is in addition to the direct, daily services that the company operates to the city of Sao Paulo.
