Air China and Shenzhen Airlines, introduced to Travel Agents its new 2024 summer schedule.
Starting in April, Air China has one daily flight per week between Barcelona and Beijing connecting the Chinese capital and beyond and, Shenzhen Airlines and beyond, has 3 flights per week between Barcelona and Shenzhen.

Since the Chinese government has waived visa requirements for Spanish citizens until November 2024, demand from Spain to China and Asia in general, where China opened post-pandemic, much later than other countries, has increased considerably.

In 1997, the first airline alliance, Star Alliance, was formed, of which Air China is a member. Air China joined the Star Alliance in 2007, offering passengers a wide range of services and an extensive route network. As of September 23, the alliance has 26 members.

Through partnerships with the world's leading airlines, Air China passengers can enjoy a much wider route network: Air Canada, Lufthansa, Air NewZeland and Cathay Pacific.

Shenzhen Airlines operates 250 commercial routes, including domestic, international and regional routes. 7 bases in China to strengthen the route network. The main focus of Shenzhen Airlines is to create fast connecting routes between Chinese cities, currently covering a total of 73 cities including Shenzhen, Beijing, Wuxi, Guangzhou, and Nanjing.

Shenzhen Airlines also focuses on growing international routes to Australia, Southeast Asia, North America and Europe, such as the new Shenzhen - Barcelona route in 2023.
