Barcelona, 28 May 2024 – Delta Air Lines' second daily Barcelona – New York-JFK flight is here. May 31 marks the start of this new service, which coincides with the beginning of a summer season that promises to be very busy.

- With this second service, the Barcelona – New York-JFK route has a total of 220,000 seats in 2024
‘Barcelona – New York-JFK is booking strongly this summer, with expected occupancy factors very close to full capacity; a very similar occupancy factor to last year, when there was only one daily flight,’ Delta sources explain.
With this second flight, Delta operates 35 weekly flights between Spain and the United States, 14 of which are between Barcelona – New York-JFK. Thus, the total number of seats offered by the airline on the Barcelona – New York-JFK route with these two daily services during 2024 amounts to nearly 220,000 seats. The increase in capacity in 2024 compared to 2023 on the Barcelona – New York-JFK route is 40%, while for the period between April and October, it is 61%, according to company data.
Since Delta began serving the BCN – New York-JFK route in 1998, around 3 million passengers have chosen the airline to fly to the Big Apple.
Delta operates its second service from Barcelona to New York using a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 216 seats with Delta One full-flat beds, Delta Premium Select, as well as Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin service. Customers can enjoy an extensive food and beverage programme that includes both carefully selected menu options as well as special snacks and premium beer, wine, and spirits, including some Spanish wines. All customers can enjoy a wide selection of in-flight entertainment options, as well as stay connected with paid Wi-Fi and enjoy free mobile messaging.
Customers flying through Delta's hubs in New York-JFK and in Atlanta will be able to make convenient connections to a wide network of destinations, including Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
