The Council of Ministers has approved the signing of the agreement on air transport between Spain and Sri Lanka, which regulates the conditions under which air transport services can be provided, both passengers and cargo.

The agreement, which conforms to the provisions of European Union law on the subject and has the approval of the European Commission, includes some very flexible principles regarding the regime of operations that can be carried out between Spain and Sri Lanka. Each country may designate as many airlines as it wishes, both for passenger and cargo operations, upon written notification.
