WestJet connects Halifax to Barcelona with direct seasonal route from summer 2025.

WestJet has announced a new route between Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and Barcelona-El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport (BCN) from 27 June. 

The seasonal route will operate four times per week as part of WestJet’s summer 2025 schedule, offering Atlantic Canadians a direct connection to one of the airline’s most sought-after European destinations.

WestJet has announced a new route between Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and Barcelona-El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport (BCN) from 27 June. 

The seasonal route will operate four times a week as part of WestJet's 2025 summer schedule, offering Atlantic Canadians a direct connection to one of the airline's most sought-after European destinations. 

This route will connect those eager to explore Barcelona, Catalonia. It will complement WestJet's wider transatlantic schedule from Atlantic Canada. As demand for travel to Europe remains strong, this addition further strengthens WestJet's presence in the market, offering more choice and flexibility for Canadians living on the East Coast."Schedules:

WestJet and the Barcelona Air Route Development Committee (BARDC) are delighted that WestJet is launching the first non-stop service connecting Halifax Stanfield with Spain. 

This new seasonal summer route to Barcelona will allow us to experience the natural beauty of Atlantic Canada. 

We thank WestJet for its commitment to expanding international travel; with six WestJet flights now linking Halifax to Europe, our horizons continue to broade.
