Air traffic in Barcelona airport in the period from April 2018 to March 2019 has increased interannual variation in the three segments: national (6.2%), European (5.4%) and intercontinental (11.1%) compared with the same previous period with 3 million more passengers. We highlight the growth of the national segment and especially the intercontinental with an increase of 800,000 passengers, reaching 16% of the total passenger volume.

European countries remain in the top positions (United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany). Remarking in fifth position the US market with a year-on-year growth of 21% as well as the Portuguese market with a year-on-year growth of 26%.

Barcelona Airport is dominated by 38% of traffic by Vueling followed by Ryanair (15%) and Easyjet (7%). Highlight the growth above 15% compared to the same previous period of Iberia / Level WizzAir, Eurowings and TAP. A stagnation of the large companies AF, KLM, Lufthansa can be observed.
