BARDC participates in Air Cargo Europe in Munich (2-5 June, 2025) in to boost cargo at JT Barcelona El Prat airport
Air Cargo Europe is one of the leading international events for the air cargo industry, held as part of the Transport Logistic trade fair, which is considered one of the world’s foremost gatherings in the logistics sector. The event brings together key professionals from the air cargo and global logistics sectors, with the aim of fostering networking, innovation, and business development.
The 2025 edition took place from 2 to 5 June at the Messe München exhibition centre in the German city of Munich. This event is held every two years and, in its most recent edition, attracted over 75,000 visitors from 120 countries and nearly 2,300 exhibitors, including prominent airlines, airports, logistics operators, freight forwarders, manufacturers, and technology providers.
Air Cargo Europe is organised by Messe München and serves as a strategic platform to analyse industry trends, establish commercial partnerships, and strengthen the role of air cargo as a key element within the global logistics chain. The trade fair also features a parallel conference programme, including presentations by international leaders and roundtable discussions on the sector’s challenges and opportunities.
In this edition, two members of BARD Secretariat team attended for two of the four days of the fair, representing the Barcelona Air Route Development Committee (CDRA) and the local Air Cargo Community of Barcelona, promoted by the BCL association. Their participation aimed to reinforce ties with strategic airlines for the development of cargo at BCN, position the airport as a key hub for this activity, and gain first-hand insights into current dynamics in the logistics market.
With the strong presence of international logistics companies, Air Cargo Europe is an ideal platform for promoting air cargo activity, attracting new routes and freighter operations, and enhancing the global positioning of logistics infrastructures linked to airports.
