B-Travel, the leading trade fair specialized in tourism of experiences of Fira de Barcelona that will be held from 20 to 22 April at the Montjuïc site, will introduce professionals to the new technological trends to improve the traveller’s experience. With the collaboration of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, the show will create B-Travel Pro, a new space on innovation aimed exclusively at the professional environment where various start-ups and international speakers will publicize the most disruptive initiatives in the sector.
This area will host on April 20 and 21 a wide program of activities that will present the latest technological innovations applied to the tourism sector and air transport with the presence of 15 tourism start-ups from European countries, the United States or Israel, among others. In this sense, various mentoring sessions with inspirational keynotes and various workshops and meetings between entrepreneurs and large tourism companies will be held. Likewise, there will also be several pitching sessions in which the start-ups will present their solutions to the main agents of the sector and various networking activities will be promoted with the community.

The first one, promoted by the Barcelona Air Routes Development Committee (BARDC), will analyse the new connectivity options among airlines, especially among those of low cost and which, with new technologies, are changing the rules of the game as evidenced by the agreements signed between Norwegian and Easyjet or Air Europa and Ryanair, as well as the possible role that airports can play in connectivity with a representative of London Gatwick, which will present its Gatwick Connect product.
In addition, the Corporate Association of Specialized Travel Agencies (ACAVE) will offer the perspective of agencies and technology providers such as the Icelandic Dohop or the British Air Black Box and the Chief Strategist Officer of Vueling Michael Delehant will explain how they contribute to different airlines. connect with each other
On the other hand, it will also address the innovative transformative process that the travel industry and airlines are undergoing, the New Distribution Capabilities (NDC), which allow multiplying the possibilities of sale and distribution of all types of products and services through the airline portals, with the participation of the American Express Travel and Carlson Wagonlit Travel agencies, while representatives of airlines and technology start-ups such as Caravelo, App in the Air and AirGateway will show the transformation they are carrying out and members of the Classic distribution systems (GDP's) will explain their adaptation to the new market.
